Term 1, 2024

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Welcome everyone to Term 1 2024!

If you’re reading this before Christmas and looking for that perfect gift, why not purchase one of our gift cards?

We can’t farewell 2023 without thanking everyone for their efforts in support of our Centre – staff, committee, website admin, teachers, students - without you, the Centre would not be able to thrive. A big thank you to our outgoing coordinators Sue Gale & Sunita McWhinney. Great job girls!

Big thanks also to our fund raisers! To

·     Cheryl Gee, for the many, many jars of jam & marmalade each year – 100% profit for the Centre.

·       Penny Morgan & Angela Jones, for commission from sales of olive oil & honey respectively.

· Sunita McWhinney and her helpers, for making beautiful Christmas crafts for sale at our market stall at Inglewood Upmarket & Mt Lawley Christmas Fair. Special thanks for those intrepid few who volunteered to man the stalls.

· Penny Morgan & the Patchwork girls (plus Jim & Dean), for hosting and organising our wonderful Long Table Lunch & Airing of the Quilts.

· Leanne Rigby & her band of helpers (especially Simon & Tara Millman), for the very enjoyable Lancaster Wine Tasting initiative. The backyard is a lovely place to gather in the evening!

·      Everyone who donated in kind to the Centre for our various raffles.

Please make a note in your diary – our AGM will be held at 11.00am on Tuesday 19th March 2024 and we need you to step up and help us run the Centre by taking on a committee or sub-committee position. It’s time to give back to your community! How good would it be if we had a representative from each of our classes on a committee or sub-committee?? Please contact Lindsay in the office if you have any queries regarding joining the Committee or a sub-committee. Skills being sought include marketing, financials, legal, program coordinators, fundraising, Centre promotions, social media whiz… basically there are many roles to be filled!

So, check out all the great classes we have for you  and remember to enrol sooner rather than later to make sure you secure a place in your favourite classes. Please note that some classes actually start on Monday January 29th, rather than Wednesday 31st January, which is when the schools return.

The office will be reopening on Monday 29th January, but if you need to contact us before then please use the contact page on this website as any submissions will be monitored during the holidays.
